Influencing Policy, Driving Change

This one-day regional conference will help you make sense of the external policy environment and explore the practical ways you can influence decision-making, at the local, regional and national level. Organised by the NCVO Forum for Change and Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Forum, the day will also provide plenty of opportunities for you to network with colleagues across the sector and explore ways in which you can work together to achieve change.

This conference will focus on the skills and expertise needed to get your voice heard where it matters. You’ll hear from the experts about the key elements involved in influencing policy and campaigning for change, and learn from other organisations across the region in a choice of practical workshops and discussions – from general issues such as engaging with regional and sub-regional decision making structures and collaborating effectively with other organisations, to more specific areas such as health and the PPI agenda, and the importance of a rural voice.

Over lunch NCVO’s Campaigning Effectiveness team will be hosting a campaign and policy surgery, with answers to all your campaigning questions and free resources for you to take away with you.
